In continuation of the 2G spectrum case, a Delhi court has said that it would pass its order pertaining to Dr Subramanian Swamy, president, the Janata Party?s petition against P. Chidambaram, Minister of Home Affairs on February 4, 2012. Swamy?s petition alleges that Chidambaram collaborated with A. Raja, former Minister of Communications and IT, in the 2G spectrum issue.

Earlier, Swamy had, as evidence against Chidambaram, provided the court with certified copies of the minutes of a meeting held on January 30, 2008, between Chidambaram and Raja, along with the minutes of another meeting held between Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the two ministers.

Other documents submitted by Swamy included the certified copy of a letter dated January 15, 2008 Chidambaram wrote to Dr Manmohan Singh, a written correspondence from Dr Manmohan Singh to Chidambaram, dated December 21, 2010 and a memo sent by the Ministry of Finance to the Prime Minister?s Office on March 25, 2011.

As part of his petition, Swamy has also said that Chidambaram and Raja had permitted Swan Telecom and Unitech Wireless to offload their shares to Etisalat and Telenor, both blacklisted entities.
