Alcatel-Lucent has been awarded a five-year contract by British fixed line operator BT for the expansion of the latter’s bandwidth cap acity.

Alcatel-Lucent has been awarded a five-year contract by British fixed line operator BT for the expansion of the latter’s bandwidth capacity. Alcatel-Lucent will help BT upgrade its 21st Century Network. The network will enable the operator to expedite network convergence, increase capacity and deliver content cost effectively. Alcatel-Lucent will also provide end-to-end transport solutions and professional services such as project management, design, installation and commissioning, repair and software updates.
