BSNL has decided to scrap its 93 million GSM line tender and is in the process of issuing a fresh tender for a reduced order of 40-50 million lines. The move comes after the Sam Pitroda-led committee, appointed to review the issues related to the tender, recommended that the operator scrap the tender and adopt the managed services model. The committee was formed after the CVC and DoT objected to the tender process.
