Qatar Telecom (Qtel) and NSN have signed a framework agreement to support the development of the Qatari group’s network operations worldwide. The agreement covers the supply of mobile infrastructure, including energy-efficient Flexi base stations and other systems, and support services. Under the agreement, standard terms and volume-based discounted pricing for network equipment will be made available to all group companies by NSN. The agreement has an initial term of one year and may be extended at Qtel’s option by up to two years, although no financial details have been announced.
