DoT has rejected the finance ministry’s proposal to raise the reserve price of 3G spectrum from the existing Rs 22 billion to Rs 25 billion.

DoT has rejected the finance ministry’s proposal to raise the reserve price of 3G spectrum from the existing Rs 22 billion to Rs 25 billion. DoT is of the view that the auction process itself will determine a suitable price for 3G spectrum. It is also planning to hold discussions with telecom service providers to arrive at a formula for fixing the annual spectrum usage charge.
