Taiwan-based mobile communication service providers Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) and Far Eas Tone Telecommunications (FET) are expanding their networks.

Taiwan-based mobile communication service providers Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) and Far Eas Tone Telecommunications (FET) are expanding their networks. CHT, which currently has over 3,000 3G base stations and nearly 1,000 3.5G base stations around Taiwan, plans to add 6,000 more such units, increasing service coverage to 90 per cent. FET also plans to set up over 3,000 3G and 3.5G base stations by the end of 2007.
