China Unicom has signed an agreement with China Telecom for selling its CDMA network for 43.8 billion yuan. China Unicom plans to invest the proceeds in expanding its GSM network for future development of its 3G business. China Unicom has also completed the overall network upgradation from GSM to GPRS as well as a GSM wireless network.
