RCOM is planning to retail GSM handsets of all brands across the 2,500 Reliance World and RCOM outlets. To begin with, the company will make its GSM retail foray in the eight existing circles of Reliance Telecom by the end of the April-June 2008 quarter. RCOM has already signed agreements with various vendors including LG, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Spice, Fly Mobile and HTC. It is also at an advanced stage of discussions with Nokia and a deal with the latter is likely to be signed soon.
