Network solutions provider ZyXEL Communications has been awarded a tender by Chunghwa Telecom for the deployment of carrier Ethernet switches. According to the tender, ZyXEL will help Chunghwa build and deploy a fibre-to-the-building network.

Chunghwa plans to invest $1.8 billion on this NGN project and $6 billion on all network deployments in the next six years.
