BSNL has invited bids from private companies that are willing to lease out passive infrastructure such as towers, shelters, gener ator sets and other power systems.

BSNL has invited bids from private companies that are willing to lease out passive infrastructure such as towers, shelters, generator sets and other power systems. This is the first time that BSNL has sought any infrastructural support from other telecom companies. Till now, the company had not been in favour of infrastructure sharing.
