RCL is planning to roll out GSM services in over 100 cities and towns within six months of receiving spectrum as part of the first phase of its pan-Indian GSM launch. According to sources, RCL will cover 15 circles in about 12 months after spectrum allocation, and is targeting over 100 million customers by 2010.

The company is also expected to offer dual-chip phones that will operate on both its CDMA and GSM networks. RCL is planning to invest about $2 billion in the next two years to set up its GSM network.
