BSNL has reportedly constructed 30-40 per cent of the optic fibre cable network it is setting up for the defence forces. According to company sources, the entire network is expected to be completed in the next six to eight months. Under the draft memorandum of understanding between DoT and the defence ministry, the defence forces will move to their new network by March 2009.
