UK-based telecommunications company Cable & Wireless U (C&W) has applied for international long distance (ILD) and NLD licences in India. After AT&T, British Telecom (BT) and Verizon Communications, C&W is the fourth global telecom service provider to have entered the Indian market by applying for licences to provide services to the enterprise segment. C&W has operations in over 33 countries across the US, Europe and Asia.
