Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has obtained a national long distance (NLD) licence. The licence will enable the company to connect its subscribers to its own network rather than to other operators’ networks, such as Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL), for carrying NLD calls. This will result in cost savings for the company which will, in turn, translate into lower tariffs for its subscribers.
