PT Indosat plans to spend $40 million in 2006 to roll out a subma rine cable network to improve the company’s cellular services.
The new cellular backbone will link East Java with Sulawesi via Kalimantan to increase both capacity and quality of service. The investment is reportedly part of a $670 million sum being set aside by the company to expand its cellular services in 2006.
