O2’s German and UK joint venture companies, Tchibo Mobil and Tesco Mobile cross 1.2 million user mark

Mobile operator O2 has announced that its German and UK joint venture companies ?? Tchibo Mobil and Tesco Mobile respectively ?? now have almost 1.2 million customers between them.

Tchibo Mobil acquired around 435,000 prepaid subscribers in its first year of operation while Tesco Mobile’s prepaid subscriber numbers reached 750,000. O2 also announced that Tchibo Mobil is entering the post-paid market. O2 owns 50 per cent of Tchibo and 50 per cent of Tesco Mobile.
