Lucent Technologies completes the first phase of its CDMA2000 1X network deployment for TeleCard

Lucent Technologies has announced that it has completed the first phase of its CDMA2000 1X network deployment for TeleCard, a wireless in local loop (WLL) operator in Pakistan. The Lucentsupplied network ?? using the 1900 MHz spectrum band ?? supports 500,000 lines. It enabled TeleCard to recently launch the first private WLL-based telecom service in Pakistan called “GO CDMA”. This offering provides businesses and residential customers with wireless voice and basic data services.
