BSNL is trying to attract internet users to its Wi-Fi internet centres with low introductory tariffs and high speed net access. For its prepaid service, it is offering coupons ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,100 and per-minute usage charges, ranging from Re 0.67 for a Rs 1,102 value card coupon, to Re 1 for a Rs 100 card. The usage minutes offered range from 100 minutes to 1,500 minutes for the Rs 100 and Rs 1,100 card respectively. For its post-paid service, BSNL is offering an “Unlimited Plan” for Rs 1,500 monthly charges and “Netone”, which has “nil” monthly charges and Re 0.50 per minute (Rs 30 per hour) tariffs. Access is free on Sundays.
