Telewings Communications, operates under the brand ?Uninor?, is planning to invest Rs 5 billion in 2015. The company will raise funds through financial institutions and will use the proceeds to expand its footprint in the seven circles, where it holds licences. The company is also preparing to launch operations in the Assam circle during the second half of 2015, the 2G licence for which it had acquired in the 2014 spectrum auctions. It is also preparing its strategy for the forthcoming spectrum auctions.

The company has stated that it has completed the previously-announced network expansion and has added 5,000 new network sites in six circles including 624 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The company now has over 24,000 network sites across the six circles that it operates in, with the ability to cover a population of 50 million. Uninor has also stated that it expects Indian operations to make profits in the next two years.
