Alcatel has won a contract from China Unicom unit Tianjin Unicom to deploy a standalone provincial WAP 2.0 service in China.

Alcatel has won a contract from China Unicom unit Tianjin Unicom to deploy a standalone provincial WAP 2.0 service in China. The service will allow Tianjin clients to access multimedia internet services through their mobile handsets, using Alcatel’s WAP 2.0 Gateway solution.
