According to news reports, Tata Teleservices has announced that it will soon be launching services in Uttaranchal. The company had earlier drawn up an investment plan of Rs 5.25 billion for Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttaranchal under which two switch rooms have already been commissioned. The company is in the process of setting up a chain of towers to improve connectivity. It has already reached agreements with all private service providers and is in talks with BSNL.
