China Telecom intends to tie up with China Netcom to buy one of China Unicom’s mobile phone networks

China Telecom, the biggest fixed line operator in China, has announced that it wants to tie up with China Netcom to buy one of China Unicom’s mobile phone networks. China Unicom is the country’s second largest mobile phone operator and currently owns two networks ?? CDMA and GSM. China Unicom has, however, denied that it is planning to sell or transfer its wireless networks.
