Malaysia’s REDtone International Bhd has terminated its plans to form a joint venture with businessman Ashraf Muhammad Ali, to provide long distance telecommunication services and bandwidth for data services in Pakistan. In a statement, the company said the agreement has been terminated as “the terms and conditions of the agreement have not been fulfilled”. However, the company said it would proceed with its plans to fulfil the obligations under the Long Distance and International Licence awarded by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority for the provision of long distance and end-to-end telecommunication services from points in Pakistan to points outside the country.
