Aftab Alam, retired Supreme Court judge, is likely to be the next chairman of the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) according to news reports.
A final decision on the appointment would be taken by the Cabinet’s Appointments Committee. TDSAT has been functioning without a chairman since November 2012, following the retirement of Justice S.B. Sinha.
