
Tata Communications has posted its financial results for the third quarter ended 2014. For the period under review, the company has reported consolidated revenues worth Rs 49,537 million in comparison to consolidated revenues of Rs 44,341 million in the third quarter ended December 31, 2013.
Tata Communications? earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) improved by 29 per cent from Rs 6,011 million in the third quarter ended December 31, 2013 to Rs 7,739 million in the corresponding quarter this year. Further, for the quarter under review, the operator?s net profit turned positive at Rs 365 million in comparison to a net loss of Rs 2,010 million in the third quarter ended December 31, 2013. Meanwhile, Tata Communications? revenue from operations for the core business grew by 12 per cent from
Rs 39,532 million in the third quarter ended December 31, 2013 to Rs 44,340 million in the corresponding quarter this year.
Further, for the quarter under review, the company?s start-up business, comprising primarily of Neotel, contributed to an 8 per cent increase in revenues at Rs 5,196 and the EBITDA for the business stood at 31.1 per cent.
