Rosenberger Electronic Co. India Pvt. Ltd. has established a factory at Verna Industrial Estate in Goa. The facility was inaugrated by the Union Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, on January 16, 2015 in the presence of the chief executive officer (CEO) of Rosenberger Group Hans Rosenberger, President (Rosenberger Asia Pacific) Aili Liu, Vice-President (Rosenberger Asia Pacific) James Liu and Country Head-India, Jaideep Redkar.
This is the second factory in the country by Rosenberger?s subsidiary company in India, the first having been established at Manesar in Haryana in 2005. This state-of-the-art assembly unit will manufacture products for the telecommunication, automotive, test and measurement, medical and enterprise sectors.
Parrikar in his congratulatory message said, ?I would like to congratulate the India team and the local team of Rosenberger India for having set up this state of art factory in such a short period of time. I remember when I was the Chief Minister, I was approached with certain difficulties faced in the setting up this manufacturing unit, and my first reaction was, instead of welcoming this MNC, why must they be facing difficulties?. As promised by me, I was successful in sorting out the issues before I left for Delhi for my present assignment, and I am pleased that as promised by Rosenberger, they have set up the factory on a very fast track. I am told that they already have already employed about 200 trained personnel and are set to shortly get into full scale production.?
Rosenberger, stated, ?We have been active in the Indian market for the last 10 years now and this plant is a logical next step in the development of our presence in this beautiful country. In the last 15 years, Rosenberger has become a globalised company in its true sense. We not only sell our products on a global scale, we also set up local production in the key markets we address. That way, we can be as close to our customers as possible. I wish this company and everyone involved in it the best for the future and I would like to thank everyone who participated in building this factory.?
Liu, said, ?Today is a proud moment for us in the history of Rosenberger Asia Pacific. With the inauguration of our Goa facility, we have a much bigger local manufacturing capability to support the Indian market with shorter lead times, competitive pricing and even better service performance. I remember my first trip to explore business opportunity in India in 2003, which was full of excitement, expectations and confusion. Despite the bumpy ride in the earlier years, we have never lost our focus and confidence in the Indian market and continued to stay invested in India. We have grown our Indian business operation at a very fast pace in the last two years from a small cable assembly set up to a full scale, high technology intensive manufacturing company with a wide product range in base station antennas, fibre optic cable systems and site installation materials integration. We plan to transfer more technology intensive production to India in coming years to support the fast paced development of the Indian telecom market.?
She thanked the Government of Goa for inviting Rosenberger to the state and the strong support provided to Rosenberger India during the successful establishment and start up of the Goa facility
