Etisalat to increase its shareholding in Etisalat DB to 50 per cent UAE-based Etisalat is planning to increase its stake in its Indian unit, Etisalat DB, from the current 44.73 per cent to about 50 per cent. It has filed an application in this regard with the Foreign Investment Promotion Board. The operator had acquired 44.73 per cent stake in Swan Telecom for $900 million in 2008 and had later renamed it Etisalat DB.
