TATA DOCOMO has entered into a strategic partnership with Sweden-based caller-ID firm Truecaller.
Under the partnership, TATA DOCOMO customers will be able to access Truecaller service without having to pay mobile internet charges. Under the agreement, customers on operator?s network will also get access to premium features of Truecaller free for 90 days.
The Truecaller application accesses phone book of users with their permission to include their contact in its data base. Whenever Truecaller user receives an incoming call, it shows the name of caller on the mobile phone?s screen even if it is not saved in the device.
