Champion Computers has entered into a strategic alliance with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to manufacture co-branded products including smartphones, feature phones, tablets, phablets and mobile internet devices.
For distributing these products, Champion Computers has tied up with 3,000 dealers across the country with 400 service centres for providing after sales service to customers.
As part of the deal, Champion Computers will be launching nine smartphones priced between Rs 3,999 and Rs 13,000 and three feature phones priced between Rs 1,300 and Rs 2,000. These handsets will be bundled with voice and data benefits worth Rs 1,500, provided by BSNL.
Meanwhile, as part of the alliance, Champion Computers has launched the BSNL-Champion Trendy 531 phablet priced at Rs 13,999. The device functions on the Android 4.2 Jellybean operating system and packs in a quad-core 1.2 GHZ processor, 4 GB of internal memory and a 5.3 inch capacitive touch screen.
Other features include support for dual cameras (a 13 megapixel rear auto-focus camera and a 5 megapixel front camera). It also comes bundled with BSNL?s 500 MB 3G data plan, which is valid for a year.
