Service provider GTL has signed an agreement to acquire Malaysia-based network planning and optimisation firm ADA Cellworks in an all-cash deal worth $25 million. The acquisition, which is to be made through GTL’s global arm GTL International, is subject to conditions and regulatory approvals and is likely to be completed by December 2007. Acquiring ADA Cellworks will strengthen GTL’s presence in the high-value segments of network planning and optimisation.

GTL International, meanwhile, is in the process of acquiring North America’s network deployment company Strategic Communication Services (SCS). The acquisition will allow GTL to access the US market and cater to service providers in the US.
