According to a report by Semiconductor Industry Association, the global sale of semiconductors increased by 4.8 per cent to reach $27.6 billion during April 2015. The Americas, leading all regions, posted a 12.2 per cent increase in sales, followed by 9.9 percent in China, and 5.2 percent in Asia Pacific. At the same time, sales decreased by 5.6 per cent in Europe and 10.7 per cent in Japan.

The report further suggests that global sale of semiconductors is expected to grow by 3.4 per cent to reach $347.2 billion during 2015. While sale in Asia Pacific is expected is expected to rise by 7 per cent, Americas will witness a 3.7 per cent increase.
