
DCM Shriram Consolidated Limited (DSCL)?s rural retail arm, Hariyali Kisaan Bazaar (HKB) plans to ink agreements with operators to provide farm and commodity advisory services to farmers.
In so far, the company has tied up with Bharti Airtel and is looking to ink similar alliances with three or four more operators. HKB is the largest national rural retail chain in India with 275 outlets spread across Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.
It has 120 outlets in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand and each outlet has a catchment area of 15 kms and reaches out to 20,000 rural families.
