Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is gearing up to launch 4G services through its phase IX.2 project in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts.
According to an official release, the initiative involves the deployment of 2,114 4G towers, currently in progress across these regions.
The release stated that BSNL has already commenced 4G services in several locations within Tiruvallur district. This advancement, driven by cutting-edge technology developed under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, underscores a significant stride in enhancing connectivity. In addition, the project is funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) of the government, the project carries a cost of Rs 162.5 million.
