N Chandrasekaran, chairman, Tata Sons, will take on an additional role as chairman of Tata Electronics.
Chandrasekaran will succeed Banmali Agrawala, who has held the position for several years and has recently transitioned into an advisory role within Tata group.
The change in leadership will take effect once the necessary regulatory approvals are obtained.
Chandrasekaran has played a pivotal role in persuading Randhir Thakur, a former veteran of Intel Foundry Services, to join Tata Electronics as chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD) in 2023.
