TSDSI organises an annual TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) Conference, which brings together technocrats, researchers, and standards experts to discuss global standardisation activities and emerging technology trends. The Conference, now in its 9th year has come to be widely acclaimed in the digital communications ecosystem for its choice of topics and high-quality deliberations.
The 9th edition of the conference, TTDD 2026 will be held from 7th to 10th July 2026. It will have 6 fully online technical sessions (7-9 July 2026) followed by a session on WRC-27 at Our Doorsteps: Perspectives on IMT Spectrum Priorities which will be conducted in hybrid mode in New Delhi on 10th July.
The conference, with its theme of “Shaping the Next Decade of Telecommunications: 6G Standards, Systems and Cross-Sector Synergies” will deliberate on the following topics in dedicated fully online technical sessions:
- Emerging 6G Architecture Options (7 July 1400-1615 IST) will provide an overview of the architectural foundations that are required to realise the 6G vision, including converged and flexible radio and core networks with disaggregated, service-based components, artificial intelligence (AI)-native orchestration and cross-domain resource management, seamless integration of communication, computation and sensing functionalities, support for distributed computing and intelligent edge systems, and built-in sustainability, resilience and interoperability through intelligent, service-centric network architectures.
- AI Native 6G (7 July 1630-1845 IST) will delve into the role of AI-native architectures in the evolution of 6G, covering AI-native networks aligned with the IMT-2030 vision, AI for Networks and Networks for AI, cross-domain data sharing and federated AI pipelines, standardisation and global collaboration opportunities, as well as deployment challenges, practical use cases, and real-world applications that will shape the future of intelligent communication networks.
- Security, Privacy & Trust in 6G (8 July 1400-1615 IST) will explore the evolving security, privacy and trust requirements of future 6G networks, covering AI-native security, privacy-preserving mechanisms, emerging trust models, and the security implications of distributed 6G architectures. The session will also highlight ongoing standardisation efforts, cross standards developing organizations collaboration, and the key challenges in building resilient and secure 6G systems to support critical infrastructure and next-generation digital services.
- HAPS based connectivity– Technical Feasibility, Trials, and Market Dynamics (8 July 1630-1845 IST) will discuss the role of High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS) in extending broadband connectivity and complementing terrestrial networks for the evolution towards 5G and 6G. The session will cover technical feasibility, early test and trial outcomes, key challenges in scaling HAPS technologies, market and regulatory considerations, and the interplay between technological innovation and commercial adoption to accelerate the development of the HAPS ecosystem.
- Priority Verticals & Transformative Use Cases in 6G (9 July 1400-1615 IST) will explore how open, interoperable and globally aligned standards can enable intelligent, scalable and AI-native service delivery across diverse industry verticals. The session will focus on platform-based architectures, AI-native orchestration, interoperable service delivery platforms, capability exposure frameworks, and the convergence of communication, computing, sensing and internet of thing (IoT). It will also examine the role of digital twins, trusted data sharing, common application programming interface (APIs) and interoperable ecosystems in supporting next-generation 6G applications and sustainable digital transformation.
- Open and Interoperable Systems for seamless connectivity of heterogenous networks (9 July 1630-1845 IST) will assess the role of open and interoperable technologies in enabling next-generation communication networks. The session will cover Open RAN, cloud-native architectures, Open APIs, open-source platforms and AI-driven systems, while addressing interoperability, standardisation, security and multi-vendor integration challenges. It will also highlight collaborative frameworks and industry initiatives aimed at accelerating the adoption of open, flexible and interoperable network ecosystem
The session on “WRC-27 at Our Doorsteps: Perspectives on IMT Spectrum Priorities” will be held on 10 July in hybrid mode (The Living Rooms, Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi and online) from 10 July 1400 – 1500 IST. It will examine global and Indian perspectives on spectrum priorities for 6G, with a focus on WRC-27 Agenda Item 1.7, future IMT spectrum requirements, and the convergence of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
The conference will conclude with Technical Sessions Summary, which will have presentations on summary findings from the technical sessions, Partner Perspectives on the Conference Theme, Valedictory Session and conferring of the TSDSI Outstanding Technical Contributions (OTC) Awards (FY 25-26) ceremony.
