China-based equipment manufacturer ZTE Corporation reported sales of RMB 2.9 billion from its Indian operations in 2013-14. Of the total sales, RMB 2.4 billion resulted from network operations while the remaining from its terminal business. ZTE India region accounted for around three per cent of the company?s total revenue in 2013-14.

ZTE has recently deployed long term evolution (LTE) network in four circles for Aircel.  This was the second telecom operator after Bharti Airtel, for which ZTE deployed 4G LTE networks in the country. The company?s terminal business has also witnessed significant growth after its entry into the handset market in 2013.
