As per industry sources, ZTE has promoted Yan Xiao to the position of chief executive officer (CEO) for the Indian market. Xiao has replaced Peng Aiguang, who has now moved back to China.
Earlier in 2019, ZTE had appointed Xiao as the deputy CEO for the Indian operation. As part of this role, he was overseeing relations with telco partners such as Bharti Airtel, BSNL, and Reliance Jio in addition to focusing on government and enterprise customers in the country.
Prior to joining the India operations, he was serving ZTE as the CEO for Myanmar market.
