
ZTE, Huawei and Datang have bagged 34 per cent, 22 per cent and 21 per cent respectively of China Mobile’s 3G tender worth $1.26 billion in the third round of bidding for equipment for China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network. Companies like New Postcom, FiberHome, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), Ericsson and Potevio bagged the remainder of the contract with shares of 5 to 6 per cent each. China Mobile plans to invest RMB70 billion in building and upgrading its 3G networks and in promoting 3G services over the next three years.
