ZTE Corporation may set up a second telecom equipment manufacturing unit in India. The unit, expected to be located in Chennai, will be primarily used to manufacture broadband equipment. ZTE also plans to increase its employee headcount to 800 by end-2007. India is one of ZTE’s key markets. The company expects to record revenue worth $600 million from India during financial year 2006-07.
