Zain has entered into a strategic partnership with South Africa’s Cell C to expand its One Network mobile phone platform to the country. The One Network platform enables prepaid and postpaid Zain customers to be treated as a local customer in terms of pricing, when travelling to another One Network partner country, while retaining home country service functionalities.
Consequently, Zain’s customers in South Africa will now be able to make calls, send SMSs and access the internet (data) at local rates of the visited country, and will also be able to receive incoming calls at minimal charges.
