Yashpal Singh Tomar has assumed charge as the new director (network planning and marketing) of RailTel. Prior to this, he served as the divisional railway manager of Palakkad division in the southern railway zone of Indian Railways.
Tomar is an IIT alumnus and a member of the 1991 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers. This is his second tenure at RailTel – he had previously served as group general manager at RailTel’s Secunderabad regional office on deputation.
Tomar has held various positions within the central railway, north central railway and south central railway zones, as well as at the Research Designs and Standards Organisation in Lucknow and the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications in Secunderabad.
