Lava International has launched a new Android-based smartphone, the Xolo Play 8X-1100 in India at a price of Rs 14,999. The phone features a 5 inch HD IPS display, with protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa core processor and runs on Andorid 4.4 KitKat operating system.
The device has 2 GB of RAM and an internal memory of 16 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card space. The phone is backed with a 2100 mAh Li-ion battery. Along with this, the OTG support allows users to connect pendrives.
Xolo Play 8X ? 1100 smartphone features a 13 MP rear camera with Sony Exmor RS Sensor. It has a 5 MP front camera with 88 degree wide-angle lens and BSI Sensor. The device supports 1080 P video recording and playback. Along with this, the phone is equipped with Hotknot file sharing technology, which transmits data wirelessly placing two devices near each other, with speed of 5 times faster than normal Bluetooth.
