Xiaomi India has entered into a partnership with Shell India, to expand its mainline channel reach in the country. Through this partnership, Xiaomi aims at making accessories accessible to more consumers.

As per an official statement, the companies have initiated their partnership in Bangalore, and the pilot is live at five Shell fuel stations where consumers will be able to purchase Xiaomi accessories such as Mi Portable Electric Air Compressor, Mi Smart Band 5, Mi Beard Trimmer 1C, Redmi Earbuds 2C, Redmi Power Bank 20000 mAh, and others, round-the-clock.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi India currently claims to have over 9,400 Mi preferred partners, more than 4,000 large format retail partners, as well as about 3,000 Mi stores. Besides, it is aiming to double its exclusive store count from 3,000 currently to over 6,000 in the next two year which would generate direct employment for 10,000 people in its offline retail channel.
