
WorldTel Bangladesh is set to enter the Bangladesh telephone and telecommunications market by launching its fixed phone operations, based on wireless in local loop in Dhaka. WorldTel, which has a licence to build, own and operate a PSTN telephone network in the city, will start with 100,000 connections. In the second phase, the company will provide another 20,000 connections. ZTE will reportedly provide the hardware equipment for the expansion.
WorldTel Bangladesh is owned by World Communications Investment and WorldTel Bangladesh Holding.
