As per industry sources, Wistron is planning to invest an additional sum of Rs 13 billion at its upcoming facility outside Bengaluru as the company is expecting more business from its clients such as Apple.
Earlier in September 2019, the company had invested Rs 16 billion in its Narasapura plant. This was significantly higher that the planned Rs 9 billion investment. With the additional sum of Rs 13 billion, the total investment in the Narasapura plant would reach Rs 29 billion.
As per industry sources, Wistron has acquired 43 acres in Narasapura, of which only 40 per cent has been utilised.
