DoT is of the view that each operator offering 4G should be given at least 10 MHz of spectrum compared to just 5 MHz for 3G services. Spectrum in the 2.1 GHz band is likely to be used to provide 4G services since the 2.5 GHz band is used mainly for satellite operations.
