According to WhatsApp, users in India will now be able to add payments backgrounds while sending money through the platform.
The new feature has been designed in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). The payments feature on WhatsApp enables transactions with over 227 banks.
The company looks forward to creating more features and functionalities in the future.
