Bharti Airtel has revised its prepaid plan worth Rs 119 to lower the data benefit. This plan offers 1 GB 2G/3G/4G data with unlimited voice calling without any fair usage policy (FUP) limit and 300 SMSs with a validity of 28 and 14 days respectively. Earlier, this plan offered 2 GB data for the entire validity period.

Bharti Airtel has launched special of­fers for its prepaid subscribers who are upgrading to the new Redmi Note 7 series. Under the Rs 249 plan, Airtel will offer 4 GB data per day while under the Rs 349 plan, it will provide 6 GB data. With this offer, subscribers can enjoy 100 per cent additional data at existing prices on select Airtel prepaid recharge packs. Further, they can get data benefits of up to 1,120 GB along with Airtel Thanks benefits like free Norton antivirus to ensure data security and access to Airtel TV premium. Customers can enjoy the additional data benefit on their new smartphone for the first 10 recharges, or the first 10 months, whichever comes first.


Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limi­t­ed (BSNL) has signed a machine-to-machine communications deal with Tata Motors. As per the deal, BSNL will supply embedded SIM ca­r­ds to transform Tata’s vehicles such as Ti­a­go and Hexa into smart cars. According to BSNL, 500,000 SIM cards have already been provided, while another one million will be supplied over the next one year.

BSNL has revised its prepaid plan worth Rs 98. Earlier, this plan offered 1.5 GB data per day for a validity period of 26 days. Now, it will offer 2 GB 3G data per day for a period of 24 days. On exceeding the 2 GB limit, the speed will be reduced to 80 kbps. In addtion, BSNL will offer a free subscription of ErosNow for the validity period.

BSNL has launched a special tariff voucher worth Rs 298. This plan offers un­limited local, national and roaming calls, 100 free SMSs per day and 1 GB 3G data per day for a total validity period of 54 days. Once the per day FUP limit has been ex­ha­u­sted, the speed will be reduced to 40 kbps.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited

Reliance Jio has launched a new plan worth Rs 399. The plan offers 1.5 GB data per day and has a validity of 84 days. It has launched another plan worth Rs 349, which offers 1.5 GB data per day for 70 days.

Vodafone Idea Limited

Vodafone Idea has launched a new recharge plan worth Rs 1,999 for prepaid  users. This plan offers 1.5 GB 4G data per day, 100 national SMSs per day and unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The plan is available for a validity period of 365 days.

Vodafone Idea has also launched the iPho­ne Forever programme, which will allow users (in­cluding the operator’s enterprise customers) to upgrade their existing iPho­nes at a minimum cost or get free re­pair coverage. In order to avail of this offer, customers need to opt for the Voda­fone RED iPhone Fore­ver Plan or Idea Nirva­na iPhone Forever Plan at Rs 649 monthly rental, and download the iForever app from the App Store to register for the free iPhone Forever service.

Vodafone Idea has announced more data benefits under its unlimited prepaid plan worth Rs 509. Earlier, the plan offer­ed 1.4 GB data per day, 100 SMSs per day, unlimited calling and access to Vodafone Play multimedia content for the entire validity period of 90 days. Now, the plan will offer 1.5 GB data per day.

The operator has also launched a new fast recharge plan worth Rs 351 with a validity period of 56 days. The operator’s other fast rechar­ge plans are worth Rs 176, Rs 229, Rs 496 and Rs 555. The plan offers 100 SMSs per day, unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. However, it does not offer any data benefits.

Vodafone Idea has announced a stra­tegic partnership with Sun TV Network. Th­is partnership will enable the operator’s custo­mers to access Sun NXT’s exclusive digi­­tal content. Sun TV Net­work’s over-the-top platform, Sun NXT, caters to Ta­m­il, Te­l­ugu, Kannada and Malayalam audiences.
