Bharti Airtel has launched new cricket plans for its prepaid users. The telco re­vised its prepaid recharge plans, offering two days of unlimited data on the Rs 99 plan and 6 GB data for one day on the Rs 49 plan. Meanwhile, Airtel direct-to-home (DTH) has partnered with Star for special recharge offers and simplified the process of customising channels from the Star Sports portfolio.

Jio

Reliance Jio launched new Disney+ Hot­star bundled plans for its prepaid users amid the Cricket World Cup 2023. The telco has introduced monthly, quarterly and annual prepaid plan bundles with data, unlimited voice and a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. The primary plan is priced at Rs 328 and provides 1.5 GB of high speed data per day for 28 days, along with a three-month mobile subscription to Disney+ Hotstar.

Jio has introduced a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 758, which offers 1.5 GB of high speed data per day for 84 days and a three-month mobile subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. It has also introduced two other prepaid plans priced at Rs 388 and

Rs 808, offering 2 GB of high-speed data per day for 28 and 84 days, respectively, and a three-month mobile subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. Its Rs 598 plan (84 days) and annual Rs 3,178 plan also provide a one-year mobile subscription to Disney+ Hotstar and 2 GB of high speed data per day. In addition, Jio launched a new high-end prepaid plan priced at Rs 3,662, which offers a total data of 912.5 GB (2.5 GB per day), unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSs per day. The plan has a validity of 365 days and includes a subscription to JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud.

Further, Jio introduced an annual plan priced at Rs 3,227, offering 2 GB of data per day with unlimited usage at 64 kbps once the daily limit is exceeded. The plan also includes unlimited voice calling and 100 SMSs per day, with a validity of 365 days. Subscribers also received access to bundled services including Prime Video mobile edition, JioTV, JioCinema and Jio­Cloud. The plan features unlimited True 5G Data, which can be utilised in areas with 5G connectivity.

Vi

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has launched “Data Sharing” and “Night Time Unlimi­ted Data” services as part of its Vi Max Fa­mily post-paid plans. This enables users to get additional data quota ranging from 10 GB to 25 GB, in addition to their selected plans. The plan also allows primary and secondary members of the family plan to share the additional data quota. Meanwhile, Vi has extended the Night Time Unlimited Data benefits to its Vi Max Family post-

pa­id plans, offering subscribers unlimited data between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. With these en­han­cements, the Vi Max Rs 601 family plan now provides a total data limit of 120 GB with two connections. Additionally, the Rs 1,001 and Rs 1,151 Vi Max plans offer data limits of 280 GB with four connections and 325 GB with five connections, respectively. Customers can also opt for various benefits from partners across four categories:

  • Entertainment (OTT): Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV and SunNXT
  • Food: A six-month subscription to EazyDiner
  • Travel: A one-year subscription to EaseMyTrip
  • One-year subscription to Norton anti­virus protection for one mobile device

Vi has enhanced select prepaid plans by offering additional data and one-year access to Disney+ Hotstar mobile as part of its “Navratri” offer. The Rs 1,449 prepaid plan received an additional 30 GB of data, as well as additional benefits such as Vi’s “Bin­ge All Night” offer, weekend data rollover, Vi Movies and TV Classic access and Vi’s Data Delights, which provides up to 2 GB of backup data each month. The Rs 2,899 prepaid plan received an additional 50 GB of data, along with the same set of benefits. Finally, the Rs 3,099 prepaid plan bundled access to one year of Disney+ Hotstar mobile and 50 GB of free data.

Vi launched new offers for its mobile users during the Cricket World Cup season. The Rs 839 Hero Unlimited Pack now includes a three-month subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. The telco offered do­uble data on the Rs 181 data pack, providing customers 1 GB of free data in addition to its regular 1 GB data allocation. Vi also provided a Rs 30 discount on its Rs 418 data pack, giving customers 100 GB of data for 56 days. In addition, Vi provided instant discounts of up to Rs 75 on long-validity recharges and a 30 per cent discount on recharges above Rs 999 through the Fancode web portal using coupon co­des on the Vi app.
