Jio

Reliance Jio has announced a range of new offers as part of its seven-year anniversary. Extra data and special vouchers have been launched for its Rs 299, Rs 749 and Rs 2,999 prepaid plans. Customers opting for the Rs 299 prepaid plan, which offers 2 GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSs per day, will now receive an additional 7 GB data. The plan is valid for 28 days. Meanwhile, the Rs 749 prepaid plan with similar benefits and a validity of 90 days will now offer an additional 14 GB of data under the limited period offer. Further, the Rs 2,999 prepaid plan, which offers 2.5 GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMSs per day with a validity of 365 days, will now provide an extra 21 GB of data. The plan also comes with a bundle of additional benefits such as:

  • Rs 200 off on Ajio
  • 20 per cent off on Netmeds
  • Rs 100 off on Swiggy
  • A free McDonald’s meal on the purchase of Rs 149 and above
  • 10 per cent off on Reliance Digital
  • Up to Rs 1,500 off on flights
  • 15 per cent off on hotels booked from Yatra

The extra benefits will be credited to eligible customers’ MyJio accounts imme­di­ately upon recharge. The additional data will also be credited as a data voucher in the My­Jio app, which can be later redeem­ed. Further, Jio has bundled an extra offer wor­th Rs 61 for its Rs 399 prepaid plan. The plan, which offers 3 GB of high speed data per day along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMSs per day, would now offer an additional 6 GB of data. This plan is valid for 28 days. It also comes with access to JioTV, JioCinema and JioCloud applications.

Jio also announced two new prepaid plans priced at Rs 1,099 and Rs 1,499. Th­e­se plans come with a validity of 84 days, unlimited 5G data and 2 GB of daily 4G data. However, the Rs 1,099 Netflix-bundled mobile plan is only valid for streaming from mobile devices, while the Rs 1,499 plan is bundled with a basic subscription to Netflix for large screens.

Jio has launched JioAirFiber, its 5G fixed wireless access service, with broadband plans starting at Rs 599. The Rs 599 JioAirFiber plan offers 30 Mbps internet speed and access to 14 over-the-top (OTT) content applications. The Rs 899 plan offers 100 Mbps speed and access to 14 OTT applications. Meanwhile, the Rs 1,199 plan offers 100 Mbps speed and includes access to 14 OTT apps, Netflix, Amazon Prime and JioCinema Premium.

Vi

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has launched “Choice” plans for its post-paid users, en­abling them to customise benefits according to their needs. Under this offering, Vi Individual and Family post-paid users can select a variety of benefits from a partner of their choice in the following categories:

  • OTT entertainment: Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV and SunNXT
  • Food and beverages: Six months subscription to EazyDiner
  • Travel: One-year subscription to Ease­MyTrip
  • Smartphone safety: One-year subscription to Norton antivirus protection on one mobile device.

Additionally, Vi users will get access to other benefits such as Vi Games, Vi Music, Vi Jobs and Education, and Vi Movies and TV. These new benefits are available for Vi Max Individual plans priced at Rs 401, Rs 501, Rs 701 and Vi Max 1101, along with Vi Max Family plans priced at Rs 1,001 and Rs 1,151. Vi has also launched its “Vi One” converged offering, which bundles mobile, fibre and OTT subscriptions under a single plan. However, this plan has only been launched in 12 cities within three circles in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Vi also launched the “Vi Priority” service for its postpaid users with rental plans priced at Rs 600 and above, and family plans for members of four and above. This service has been designed based on insights gathered from a pilot conducted in select circles. The service has also been extended to senior citizens and long-term Vi customers (10 years or more). As Vi Priority members, users will receive direct access to 24×7 premium call centre services. They will also receive priority service at Vi stores and access to convenient bill payments with an enhanced user interface and experience on the Vi app.

Airtel

Bharti Airtel has upgraded its existing Rs 299 prepaid plan. The plan now provides 14 GB of extra data, upgrading the daily usage limit from 1.5 GB to 2 GB. After reaching the daily limit, users can access data at speeds of up to 64 Kbps. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSs per day with a validity of 28 days. Me­anwhile, as part of the Airtel Thanks be­­nefits programme, the Rs 299 Truly Un­limited plan provides unlimited 5G data bundled with a three-month memb­ership to Apollo 24/7 Circle, Wynk Music and free Hellotunes.
